Events and Accidents
In the late Dhu al-Hijjah of the year sixty-three of the migration, Muslim bin Aqabah al-Marri approached his army from the city towards Mecca, Abdullah bin al-Zubayr, but he died on the road. Then he took the command of the soldiers after him, Husayn ibn Nimeer al-Sakuni, and went to Mecca. Ibn al-Zubayr, and the son of al-Zubayr, who was killed by his companions, al-Masoor ibn al-Zuhair and Musab ibn 'Abd al-Rahman ibn' Auf, and his brother al-Mundhir ibn al-Zubayr. The fighting continued for the rest of the mahram and zero from the year of sixty-four.
In 930, the Qaramite attacked the city of Mecca and killed a
number of pilgrims, carrying with them the Black Stone to abandonment in Ahsa. The
Black Stone did not return to Mecca until after the elimination of the Qaramite
sect after bloody wars lasting more than fifteen years. By order of the Fatimid

In December 1975, a huge fire broke out in camps for pilgrims
near Mecca killed 200 pilgrims, the fire was the impact of gas cylinder
explosion and quickly spread to the tents of pilgrims. [130]
Clutter is a major cause of increased mortality.
On July 31, 1987, Iranian pilgrims staged mass
demonstrations during the Hajj season condemning the United States, known as
the events of Mecca in 1987, blocking roads and burning cars. [131] Saudi
security forces intervened to end the demonstrations, and clashes between Saudi
forces and Iranian demonstrators killed 402 people. [131]
On July 10, 1989, a double attack near the Grand Mosque
killed one person and injured 16 others. Sixteen Kuwaitis were charged with
being behind the attack. The case was known as the second Haram al-Makki incident.

On July 2, 1990, a large stampede took place inside the
tunnel of Mina, south of Mecca, after the ventilation system probably stopped
working. The incident killed 1426 pilgrims, most of them Asians, most of whom
died of suffocation. [133]
On April 15, 1997, a fire caused by a gas-fired heat caused
a huge fire at the Hajjaj camp in Wadi Mina, killing 343 pilgrims and injuring
more than 1,500 others.
On February 1, 2004, 244 pilgrims were killed on the first
day of the Jamarat rampage during a stampede that took place in Wadi Mina near
Makkah during the stone-throwing ceremony. [134]
On January 12, 2006, 340 pilgrims were killed in a stampede
on the Jamarat Bridge on the second day of Tashreeq, which took place because
of luggage from the highest buses on the scene. [135]
On September 11, 2015, a crane fell on the Mecca campus
because of the thunderstorms that hit Mecca, killing more than 107 people and
wounding about 238 others, according to the Saudi Civil Defense. [136] [137]
On September 24, 2015, more than 769 people were
killed and nearly 1,000 wounded by the stampede during the Jamara massacre in Mina.
Most of the victims were Pakistani and Iranian.
